President's Corner

President  --   MALCOLM BROWN

Mal Brown's 50th Birthday Surprise Party at the club

2012 season at QPSC.

On behalf of the committee, I would like to welcome all our loyal players and new players who have come down to the club this year.
With the coaching staff we have on board, and with the commitment they are showing, we're feeling that things are going forward.
Come into the club and enjoy a quiet drink and introduce yourself to the devoted committee people and helpers of Queens Park Soccer Club as we are a friendly and approachable group.
We look forward to getting to know you better, and anticipate the relationship will last a few years as we aim towards the goals we are seeking.
Anyone interested in helping out around the club is most welcome, as you can all imagine the work it takes to keep this organisation going. The committee are all volunteers, and if you are able to spare just a couple of hours a fortnight this will be much appreciated and make a big difference to the club

Preceding President DAVID WOODFIN

David Woodfin was the lifeblood of the Queens Park club to such an extent that the club’s new pavilion is named in his honour. He worked tirelessly in many guises for the game in WA including five years (1987-1992) as a board member of the Soccer Federation of WA and Soccer West Coast. He hosted and organised annual coaching clinics for juniors from all over the metropolitan area and well as schools competitions. He was awarded the Sportsman of the Year title in 1986 by PASSA (now WAASSA). The Sports Federation of WA honoured him 1988 with the award of Sports Administrator of the Year and the City of Canning named him their Citizen of the Year in 1992. He worked tirelessly for the Queens Park Soccer Club for more than thirty years. Sadly David passed away early in 2009.  He will be missed at the club, and his devotion to QPSC will always be remembered and greatly appreciated.
